How ordering works
- Add items to your cart and check out.
- Orders placed before 2pm Mon–Fri ship the same day. Weekend orders ship on Monday.
- We use Royal Mail Tracked and DPD courier depending on box size.
- You’ll get a tracking link by email as soon as your parcel is dispatched.
- Fresh produce ships in insulated boxes with same-day cold packing.
Delivery FAQs
Do you deliver to Northern Ireland?
Yes. Northern Ireland delivery takes 3–5 working days. A small surcharge may apply for heavy boxes (fresh produce, cases of drinks). This is calculated at checkout.
Do you deliver fresh plantain?
Yes. We ship boxes of ripe golden plantain (~68–72 pieces) and unripe green plantain UK-wide, packed to arrive in condition. See our plantain page for storage and ripening tips.
Can I collect from your warehouse?

What if I’m not in when it arrives?
Royal Mail Tracked will leave a card or attempt delivery to a neighbour. DPD lets you choose a safe place or reschedule via SMS on the day. You’ll get all tracking updates by email.
What happens if items are damaged?
Photograph the damage on arrival and email support@myafricanshop.co.uk within 24 hours. We refund or replace on the next dispatch.
Do you deliver cases of drinks to Scotland?
Yes. Full cases of Malta Guinness, Amstel Malta, Nigerian Guinness Extra Stout, Trophy Lager and Heineken 60cl ship to mainland Scotland in 2–3 working days.
